The Abbey

My inspiration for this showhouse room started with the wide and ornate crown molding, usually paired with a very traditional, English look.  I wanted to create a completely different feeling than what might have been obvious here.  I imagined an international gentleman’s sitting room, with many references to a well-traveled lifestyle.  The fanciful scrolling wallpaper established the room’s eclectic Ottoman theme, while still complementing the brown molding. The lush green velvet armchairs are an invitation to sit down, read, have a drink and a chat with good friends.  Exotic and warm furnishings and art add to the feeling of luxurious comfort and relaxation that this room was designed for.
